Mimic Cape Origins

Mimic Cape has been in existence since the 1970's. It was established in Cape Town for the Coastal markets. Most of our products are locally stocked for your collection convenience at our Montgomery Park, Cape Town office. We also delivery to all surrounding coastal customers including cross border Namibian customers. 

Mimic-Cape has its own established clientele and continues to provide them with well known electrical products such as alarm signals, tower lights, sirens & sounders, stand-alone stainless steel cover data loggers, to name a few. We aim to continue servicing our valued customers for many more years to come.

Mimic Manufacturing

The company started out as Mimic Crafts in 1971 as a manufacturer of Mimic panels for the electrical industry, power rail etc. Today, the Mimic Group has two branches; Johannesburg and Cape Town. 

Over the years, Mimic Crafts built up expertise in other areas including control desks, component manufacture and display electronics. They also imported and resold a wide range of control and indicating components, which eventually outgrew the Crafts section. It was then decided to rationalise and operate one company called Mimic Components cc who has since taken over the Crafts work, which supports both Mimic  branches. 

Products for Industry

As a result of continuously researching the market place for cutting edge products, we are able to introduce to you, and supply you with, the latest electrical and electronic devices that technology has to offer. For example, our Automation range has increased significantly  keep in line with the latest development and supply of measurement, process control and indication instruments from some of the leading instrumentation manufacturers worldwide, thus providing our local Cape processing factories with outstanding temperature controlling instruments and devices.

Technical Support
The Mimic Group have good technical staff with micro-processing design experience in electronics and electrical, as well as products specialists for the manufactured electrical components. We offer complimentary designs and drawings on custom projects.  As we work closely with our Johannesburg branch, we are able to offer you technical support and installation assistance on some of our products.

In-House Services

Our services include in-house printing for customers with low volume printing requirements, technical support on selected products and product demonstrations by arrangement.

The Group continues to export to many different countries including Africa, Middle East, Hong Kong, China and Europe.
